Jorge Campillo claimed a third DP World Tour title earlier this season at the 2023 Magical Kenya Open presented by Absa, winning by two strokes at Muthaiga Golf Club. That victory came three years after emerging victorious from a dramatic play-off duel with David Drysdale to lift the 2020 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters title, while his maiden triumph came at the 229th time of asking at the 2019 Trophée Hassan II.
