Robert MacIntyre realised a childhood dream last month when he was part of the victorious Ryder Cup Team Europe squad in Rome. The Scot burst onto the world scene in 2019 as he finished 11th in the Race to Dubai and picked up the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year award after a season that included three runner-up finishes and a tie for sixth place in his Major Championship debut at The Open. He secured his first DP World Tour win the following season at the 2020 Aphrodite Hills Cyprus Showdown, before picking up a second at last year’s DS Automobiles Italian Open.

He shot 79 in his first round as a pro and then in the third round of the tournament he broke the course record. He missed out on a play-off by one stroke.
