A firm fan favourite with crowds around the world, six-time DP World Tour Shane Lowry will be hoping to add a third Rolex Series title to his name after securing his second at last year’s BMW PGA Championship. His fist at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship begun a career defining year for the Irishman after he followed up his triumph in the UAE with an Open Championship victory at Royal Portrush later that season. The 36-year-old will be teeing it up at the Genesis Scottish Open for the first time since 2016, with his best result coming in the 2014 edition where he finished in a share of fourth at Royal Aberdeen.
