Paul Lawrie famously came from ten shots back to win The 1999 Open Championship at Carnoustie – the third of eight DP World Tour victories. The Scotsman won on home soil for the first time since The Open Championship when he won the Scottish Senior Open in his first year on the Legends Tour in 2019. He went on to secure the Rookie of the Year award that year after finishing 11th on the Order of Merit. He added a second Legends Tour to his name at last year’s Farmfood European Legends Links Championship, before picking up a third at Farmfoods European Senior Masters.
