Stephen Dodd became the first Welsh winner of The Senior Open presented by Rolex since Brian Huggett in 1998 when he triumphed at Sunningdale in 2021, holding off the challenge of Miguel Angel Jiménez to win his first Senior Major. Picked up a maiden Legends Tour title in 2016 at the 2016 Senior Italian Open, which saw him become the ninth player to have won on all three levels of Challenge, DP World and Legends Tours.
