Jon Rahm returns to Wentworth for the BMW PGA Championship for the third time, hoping to go one better than his runner-up finishes in 2019 and 2022. He produced the round of the week last season with a remarkable closing 62 that included two eagles and seven birdies, to move from six shots back into a tie for second alongside Rory McIlroy, and one shot behind eventual winner Shane Lowry. After winning a maiden Major Championship with a barnstorming finish at the 2021 U.S. Open, Rahm claimed a second Major title earlier this season at the Masters Tournament, becoming the third Spaniard to slip into the Green Jacket after Seve Ballesteros and José María Olazábal, who have both won here.
