Local favourite Stephanie Meadow won the inaugural edition of this event in 2019 when it was sanctioned by the European Challenge Tour, holding off a final day charge from Solheim Cup bound Charley Hull to claim her second win as a professional. More recently, the Northern Irishwoman emphatically secured the largest prize of her career by finishing in a tie for third at the this year’s KPMG Women’s PGA Championship – her joint best ever result in a Major Championship.
